I brought this outfit on tour because

Outfit breakdown: Vintage jumper and nude fishnets by Urban Outfitters.

Frankie Rose’s new album, Interstellar, has a dreamy, expansive ‘80s synth quality to it. So it’s no surprise that when it came time to pack her bags for her current US tour—which takes Rose to San Diego, Seattle Coach Outlet, Chicago, and a handful of other locations over the course of the next three weeks—she went with something from that era. The Brooklyn-based solo musician Coach Outlet, who did time behind the drum 3kit with buzz bands like Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts Coach Outlet, and Dum Dum Girls before breaking out on her own, gave ELLE.com a sneak peek at her favorite on-the-road outfit.

My pre-tour shopping spot is: Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg. I also adore the Built by Wendy outlet that is nearby.

If this outfit were one of my songs, it would be: “Interstellar” [because] it has an ‘80s kind of “Kryptonian Criminal” feel about it.

I usually pack: around five stage outfits and five traveling outfits for the van. Those are mostly comfy pants and big shirts.

The best on-the-road purchase I ever made was: these amazing Guess vintage cowboy Cubans, size seven-and-a-half. They quickly became my favorite shoes. Only three bucks from a Utah thrift store!

My personal style is: classy but not too over the top.

I brought this outfit on tour because: I really enjoy “dressing up” for shows.

I always bring: a spray bottle with a mixture of lavender oil and water.

You’d never catch me onstage wearing: anything that I didn’t feel totally comfortable in, but I won’t count anything out Coach Outlet!
