WordPress.com

I am in the field of Computers from past 16 years and during this period I had learnt many things and from the beginning itself I was very fond of learning Computer Programming and at present I am developing Software programs for various Govt. Sectors. And regarding the Internet business, I started my internet career about 5 years ago and since then I have learnt a lot from this Internet thing.

Almost 80% of Internet users search for ‘How to make money online?‘ and so I decided to create a niche website to tell you about the most of earning money online.

make money online How to Make Money Online A Stable Income Tip !

Make Money Online

Since, this is my first post describing this niche, I just wanted to tell you the ‘Basics of Internet Career’ and what is all about ‘Earning Money Online‘.

So guys, have you ever thought that how most of the publishers earn their living only with a few sites they develop. Most of them are under the free site providers like Blogger, WordPress.com, etc. The main success behind such Publishers is just their hard work and patience.

I have seen many publishers who are earning more than $144K per month, so how this happened? Actually, they are writing under a proper niche and that too continuously, within time the reputation of their site increases in search engines and they start earning regular income from their blogs/websites. For more information about finding your niche, refer to my article regardingList of High Paying Adsense Categories for your Niche Website.

Regarding Adsense, its a very big deal to make a good standing account with Adsense because Google won’t spare a single second to ban your account if you have made a single mistake in following Adsense TOS.

But, what if you haven’t done any mistake and Adsense disabled your account, so as with many genuine Publishers. Always make an alternate source of online Income like:

  1. Sell online products.
  2. Sell your own ebooks or products.
  3. Become Affiliate Marketer, through which many publishers are earning their livelihood.
  4. Always use Adsense Alternative Publisher accounts, don’t ever depend on a single firm as Adsense.

If you follow the above tips, you will always have a backup of your Income Source, and if something odd happens with Adsense account, you will gain a regular income from other sources.

But, I recommend making a good standing with your Adsense account as this is a Genuine Publishing network and pays the most share which comes form its advertisers.

Now, what about the Stable Income? Its a must have like problem for almost all of the Publishers who are beginners in this field. don’t worry guys, I will try to solve this problem also, rest depends on your work and writing capabilities.

The income which is coming regularly is called Stable Income, but when this income multiplies itself per month then its called a GOOD STABLE INCOME, so how to earn a good stable income, its very easy… just follow this tip:

HAVE PATIENCE AND UPDATE YOUR SITE DAILY WITH NICHE AND QUALITY CONTENT

DON’T FORGET TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE 4 POINTS AS A SOURCE OF SECONDARY INCOME

After a certain time, you will be getting a regular income, and please don’t blame me if you are not writing proper articles, not updating your blog regularly and expecting to get a good income.

Moreover, many of us think that Google Panda update has eaten my visitors, but my personal opinion about this blog and the visitors is that after recent Panda Update, every genuine publisher is getting targeted users, and I am watching my blog since the last update and I have seen a drastic increase in returning visitors and also new ones, that too targeted.

NARS Unsung Heroes: Heat Wave Lipstick

nars heat wave (2)

A few things I learned (and in some cases relearned) in 2011:

  1. It’s easy to fall back into old habits, one of which for me was comparing myself to others, but it’s a recipe for misery cake and serves no useful purpose.
  2. Tim Gunn is my Obi-Wan! Whenever I find myself in a pickle, I close my eyes and ask, “What would Tim Gunn do?” And then (I like to imagine) he materializes — a life coach/style Jedi — to dispense golden nuggets of advice.
  3. Red lipstick could be the most powerful force in the Universe (even stronger than gravity). :)

So maybe that third one’s a slight exaggeration, but I will say that red lipsticks always make me feel better — especially bright, cheerful reds like NARS Heat Wave ($24).

It makes even mundane tasks, like trips to Trader Joe’s, a million times more fun. I wore it there a few days ago and made a new makeup-loving friend on the staff.

nars heat wave (4)

nars heat wave (3)

nars heat wave (1)

A bright reddish orange, Heat Wave breathes life into faces! I used to think it was too much like MAC Lady Danger, but then I looked at the two of them together and figured out the differences.

I see more red and less coral in Heat Wave than I see in Lady Danger, and I think the extra red tempers the former, toning it down a touch. I adore both shades equally but would wear them at different times — like larger-than-life Lady Danger to a cabaret and Heat Wave to the symphony.

As a NARS Semi Matte Lipstick, Heat Wave is also long-lasting, so it won’t leave you in the lurch, but at least for me, it can be drying, especially when it’s cold out, like it is now. To help with that, I try to always remember to prep my lips first with a layer of moisturizing lip balm.

If bright reddish orange lipsticks make you weak in the knees, check out NARS Heat Wave one of these days. :)

Chanel Spring 2009 Makeup- The Glossimers

Chanel Spring 2009 Makeup: The Glossimers

It’s that time again, ladies … time for Chanel Coach Factory Outlet! And time to go buck nekkid lips courtesy of spring’s two 2009 Glossimer lipglosses ($26 each).

They’re new, they’re nude, and they’re ready to bust a micro-glittery move on that pucker.

Wild Rose (my *favorite*) shimmers as a cool-toned plum pink with teeny flecks of silver glitter. She’s a beauty worn all by her lonesome coach handbags outlet, but I picture her pairing perfectly with smokey brown and plum eyes. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

Beige Guitare grossed me out a little at first because it’s flesh-colored in the tube, kinda like Spencer Pratt’s fleshy beard, EWWW.

But I changed my tune after a quick swatch on the back of my hand. The color flashes from pink to beige to gold in the light Coach Outlet Online, just like RuPaul, LOL! And there’s even glitter — hot pink, gold and silver — for extra credit.

From left to right: Beige Guitare, Wild Rose

Unfortch, when I wear Beige Guitare on my lips, it doesn’t look as pretty as it does on the back of my hand. I’m not sure why, but the color seems a tad too frosty for my lips and gives me a spacey, 60′s go-go night-clubbing time traveler look…

When I wear this in the spring, I think I’ll try pairing it with bright red and pink lipsticks instead of wearing it on its own. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: B

Like all Chanel Glossimers, Wild Rose and Beige Guitare are slightly thinner than MAC Lipglasses but thicker than Givenchy Pop Gloss, and, yup, they’re kinda sticky.

A tube will set you back $26 (ouch), but you know how it is with Chanel. You’re getting quality, but you’re also paying for that golden double C logo on the cap.

If you’re like me coach bags clearance online, a card carrying member of Chanel Makeup Addicts Anonymous, then I think you’ll like Wild Rose Coach Handbags, fo’ sheezy.

When you get a chance, stop by the Chanel counter to check out the rest of the spring line (I’ll be covering a lot more over the next few days).

WOW, I can’t believe it’s already Monday night. Where does the time go?

I’m off to watch Slumdog Millionaire with El Hub in a few. I hope it’s as good as I hear.

How was your day? Are you gonna catch the premiere of Whitney’s new show?

The LORAC Evening Out Complexion Kit Isn’t Just for Evenings Out

The LORAC Evening Out Complexion Kit Isn’t Just for Evenings Out

lorac evening out review

I didn’t have a cubic inch of extra room in my bag when I packed for that trip to Reno a couple weeks ago, so instead of bringing my usual brigade of face products (tinted moisturizer, stick foundation, liquid foundation… Um, have I ever mentioned that I tend to overpack?), I lightened my load with LORAC’s new Evening Out Complexion Kit ($38).

lorac evening out review The sleek gunmetal compact must have been made with on-the-go girl secret agents in mind because concealment is the name of this game.

The kit comes with a powder foundation, two cream concealers, a sponge applicator and a tiny Jane Bond-ian concealer brush. :)

Available in Light, Medium or Tan (the one I have), it covered all of my bases (and most of my skin imperfections) on the trip, working well no matter what outfits I wore, from ripped jeans to my favorite black cocktail dress.

When I wanted light, natural looking coverage during the day, I applied the powder foundation with a brush. Then at night I’d apply the finely-milled powder (has a medium opacity) with the included sponge. Because the powder layers well, it never looked like a heavy makeup mask.

Swatches of Tan on NC35 skin from left: Powder Foundation, Light Concealer, Dark Concealer

lorac evening out review before after
Before (left) and after (right)

The two cream concealers LORAC cleverly tucked away in a separate drawer to isolate them from the powder kept my dark circles and the smattering of zits on my chin concealed in the harsh casino light.

Both the light and dark shades pack plenty of pigment, too, meaning it didn’t take a lot to cover trouble spots, which also means less product settling into the fine lines around my eyes.

Evening Out is fabulously flexible for light-to-medium complexion coverage, making it easy to fake great skin with products that apply flawlessly.

It does come in a very limited range of colors, though, and I think that’s its biggest drawback. I’ve also read some reviews by women who feel the powder foundation is too orange for their skin tone. I didn’t have that problem, but I really would like to see LORAC expand the line to let more ladies get in on the action. :) Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

Interview with Pascale Gatzen- Fashion + Sustainab

Interview with Pascale Gatzen: Fashion + Sustainability―Lines of Research Series

by Mae Colburn

A student’s response to Jean Luc Nancy’s Being Singular Plural from Pascale Gatzen’s class of the same name, Fall 2010.

Pascale Gatzen: Sustainability has to do with awareness, with love, with wellbeing, with the realization that we are creating this world together.? It’s about exploring what we can be and who we can be, about connecting to?a sense of play, pleasure, love, care, to a place where we value each other, where we see and are seen by others, and where we are willing to share, to be vulnerable, to be courageous. ?

Pascale Gatzen describes her position at Parsons’ School of Design Strategies as that of a facilitator, nourishing “a productive flow of energy” between students.? She isn’t interested in perpetuating disciplinary distinctions, social constructions, or the capitalist paradigm.? She’s motivated by love, which for her involves movement, exchange, and relationships. Her logic stems from the realization, after years working in fashion and art, that creative production is too often motivated by insecurity and the need to prove oneself.? Her focus now lies on the relational aspects of fashion, on alternative models of exchange.? She describes student projects that include gifting, bartering, trading models that explicitly forge a sense of proximity, immediacy, mutuality between people, between materials.? For Gatzen, sustainable fashion is about nourishing a productive flow, motivated by love, of clothes, ideas, and identities.

Mae Colburn: You, and others, often use the words ‘love’ ‘play’ and ‘beauty’ to describe your practice.? How did you develop this relationship to fashion?

PG: Growing up, I was interested in the idea of clothing, and fashion eventually became the focus of my education. ?I didn’t understand the notion of fashion practiced at that time.? I didn’t see any real progress, or any movement.? I didn’t see the difference between a shirt that was produced in one kind of cloth one season, and in another kind of cloth the second season.? For me, they were the same shirt. ?I can’t say that my work was necessarily playful at that time, but I did at that time become aware that love was very important to me, that it brought me the most life energy, and that the closer I stayed to myself and to my own fascinations, the more vibrant my work would be.

Later, when I started teaching at Arnhem [ArtEZ, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Arnhem], I discovered that with the introduction of H&M and Zara, students had stopped touching their own clothes. ?There was this illusion that because they had access to fashionable clothes (which they could buy, because they were cheap), they were participating in fashion. ?So I started doing assignments with students that were very much about dressing.? They had to dress themselves; they had to dress each other.? They had to experiment with the notion of clothing, the power of dressing, which is a very vulnerable process.? We have a lot of investment in how we dress and how we see ourselves, but something beautiful happens when we move beyond our comfort zones and everybody starts to feel vulnerable at the same time.? Things become less absolute, less fixed, and people begin to feel a sense of play with their clothes and identities.

MC: On the Parsons’ website, you’re quoted as saying that you want students to “test the intersection between fashion and reality.”? What do you mean by this?

PG: If I said ‘reality,’ I was probably referring to habituated reality.? We live in this seemingly fixed reality, or at least we think we can trust certain things around us.? With clothes, most people identify with a certain style, and they gain confidence from what they think they are and how they present themselves to the world.? I did a workshop once where I compared the work of Coco Chanel to the work of Yves St. Laurent.? If you really look at the work of Coco Chanel and see how it’s made her attention to the make and finishing of the garment was amazing; how the lining was quilted into the jacket, the small metal chain against the back hem to weigh the jacket down Coach Factory Outlet Online Sale, ever so lightly, the lack of interlining and shoulder pads, the way the sleeves fit into the body of the jacket allowing for movement and comfort it’s very much about the person wearing the piece of clothing rather than the clothing as image, which is what I see on the catwalk and what Yves St. Laurent never escaped.? Even if it’s an image of comfortable clothing, his clothing remains mostly image.? Catherine Deneuve is quoted as saying that that you can wear Yves St. Laurent under any social situation because you’re protected, but I think Coco Chanel would say that clothing shouldn’t take up all the attention, that it should allow a woman to emerge as herself.

How do you engage the world?? Do you engage in the world from a position of curiosity or do you engage in the world from a sense of fixed reality in which you have to protect yourself from everything that can happen?? For me, of course, the first is more interesting and has a lot more potential for growth.

MC: Could you describe a workshop or project that you’ve done that encompasses these notions of curiosity, play, love one that you’re particularly proud of?

I’ve done many projects and I always feel they’re very special.? For instance, I worked one summer, as part of the Parsons’ DEED project, in Guatemala, with five students and two artisan women’s cooperatives, Ajkem’a Loy’a and Barco in San Lucas Toliman.? The beauty of that was being together for a month and seeing those students for who they are, completely.? There was so much love between all of us.? They were so focused taking care of each other and taking care of me and very responsible towards the work we were doing.? There was a fullness of experience, of exchange.

That’s something that I also felt when I did an intensive program in DasArts, a post-graduate program in The Netherlands for theater and performing arts.? They don’t have a fixed program; they have a sequence of different artists come in and do three-month intensive workshops with twelve students.? We spent whole days together.? We cooked together, ate together, and were living and learning together.? I structured our days so that we did yoga together in the morning and had singing lessons three times a week.? There was a real exchange of knowledge, of experiencing together, of going through rough moments and very amazing moments.? I love the notion of life becoming part of teaching, teaching becoming part of life.

I also created a sequence of core classes, what is now known as the Fashion Area of Study in the Integrated Design program in Parsons, and the third core class, Love, is really about this Coach Outlet, about students recognizing that fashion is not an isolated practice.? It’s about integrating that practice in your everyday life, where they live, how they eat, and in exchanges with friends.? That’s the most important thing I can imagine teaching to my students, and teaching with my students, because a lot of them just naturally understand these things.? […] The traditional notion of learning involves a hierarchy between the teacher (who has the knowledge) and the student (who doesn’t have the knowledge).? I think that’s the first assumption that we have to abolish if we want to grow a different type of world.? Everybody possesses knowledge, which is of value to us all.? I know knitting, I know sewing, I know patternmaking, but I’m much more interested in seeing students teach each other how to knit.? If the students are teaching, then they understand that they have the ability to teach and grow and that’s what will support them when they’re out in the world.? I think that’s the most important lesson: that they can always learn, always grow.? And teaching and learning, growing are definitely not confined to the classroom.

A “singing blanket” that student Daniel Anesiadou made for a public event at DasArts in Amsterdam in spring 2005.

MC: What kind of theoretical background do you share with your students?

My teaching is very much about experience, but I do include some theory in class.? Last semester I wanted my students to understand the capitalist paradigm, so we read Marx and Being Singular Plural by Jean Luc Nancy, and now we’re looking at Hannah Arendt.? We read Erich Fromm, The Art of Loving, and we read The Gift by Lewis Hyde. ?We also read and look at the work of Sister Corita.? Those are a few texts that I definitely use, but I don’t overwhelm them with theory.? What I’ve learned in the past is that theory is more easily understood when there’s an experience to accompany the theory.? The most successful theorists speak from a deep engagement with the world around them, and I think that’s very important.

Other people that are very influential to me the way I think, teach, and practice are people that I invite to teach.?Susan Ciancolio is a very big inspiration for me.? She has been teaching in the Fashion Area of Study for four years.? I also have a very lively connection and exchange with Caroline Woolard, who teaches the barter class [at Parsons], and I’m very happy that Otto von Busch has joined our team.? I’m very inspired by the people that I’m surrounded by.

MC: What do you hope to see your students to achieve in coming years, in fashion and beyond?

PG: At the moment, I think it’s about creating hybrid types of practices, hybrid types of life.? Some of my students who graduated last year formed a business and living cooperative, building a business and growing their own food in a community garden nearby.? If you support students in what they’re strong in, in what they want to do, they become more confident, more capable, more able to master their lives and make informed decisions.

I know from working, and many of my students know from working, that if you are really immersed in a dynamic relationship with your work, you will come up with unexpected insights that will result in unexpected outcomes.? For me, it’s important that we constantly re-invent the forms that we engage with and relate to in order to give other possibilities for life.? That’s what practice is about constantly advancing the forms, because the forms are only ever temporary, limited, never sufficient for our ever-changing nature.? We are always changing and always in a state of flux so we need to re-invent and continuously open up new possibilities for life to continue.

MC: What do you enjoy most about teaching?

PG: I love the exchange of collaboration, of growing together.? I just think that cooperation is a much more natural way to live than practicing individually.? It’s about care, and love, appreciating and respecting the things that we live with: the people, the objects, everything.

Closet Makeovers Series: Feminine Style – Comments & Questions

front picture 2

Here is my second post on the feminine style (in case you missed it, see my previous post on The Feminine Style Basics) in which I will answer your questions about the feminine style from the comments sections of my previous articles.

But before we get to the Q&A section Gucci Borse, here are a few additions I wanted to make to last week’s list. In the comments section Louis Vuitton Outlet Store, you suggested a few more basics I should add to the shopping list: a white button down and skirts.

Additions to Last Week’s List

White Shirts:

White button-down shirts

The very first shirt is perfect for a classically feminine girl. It’s from The Limited, and I chose it because of the darting in the front. It will give you that feminine hourglass figure.

The second top is from Ann Taylor and is an option if you are into the cute ruffle trend thats going around. Its short sleeved as well which is perfect for our warmer weather readers, and can work as a less bulky piece underneath a sweater or jacket.

Flirty Skirts:

I couldnt believe I didnt think to put more skirts on last weeks basics list! They are so fun and cute, and I really love them for fall paired with tights.

Flirty skirts

The first skirt on the left is from J Crew and was chosen because of its ulta-flattering A-line shape.

The next is a pencil skirt from Topshop, and is perfect for those of you who want to add curves to your lower half. Also cheap louis vuitton, since many of you are concerned about what to wear in the work place, you’ll be happy to know that this skirt is an appropriate length.

The final skirt is something a bit shorter for those of you who have amazing legs and want to show them off! It’s from Forever 21 and I picked it because of the fun hem. I think it would look cute worn with a flirty top tucked in, maybe with a pair of tights and ankle booties.

And now…. answering your questions!

Here are some of the questions you asked regarding the feminine style and all the odds and ends in between, along with my answers!

How to Mix Edgy and Girly style?

In last week’s post, a reader commented that they wanted to know how to mix edgy and girly styles together – it’s easier than you think!

I knew as I was reading the comments that I wanted to use a faux leather jacket for this particular question for 2 reasons. First, faux leather is really in right now. Second, it’s inexpensive and perfect for those of you on a budget. The jacket featured below is well below $50 Cheap Coach Purses!

Also, if its cold where you are, throw on some tights or leggings with this outfit.

One commenter who dubbed her style feminine hipster asked how to update her wardrobe of skinny jeans, t-shirts, skirts, opaque tights, and feminine accessories.

My best tip is to try wearing updated versions of your classics, like a t-shirt with an interesting (and feminine) detailing or different color tights.

I was also happy to see that the commenter said she loves to emphasize her waist and legs. Like art, each outfit should have a focal point. If you’re in a similar position, try an A-line skirt. It will emphasize a small waist because it is cut like the letter A. Also look for one that hits just above the knee to show off those great legs! Good luck!

How to make money go further for the feminine/rocker:

I totally can relate to this because money is tight, and I have a few tips for those of you in this situation.

First, use your accessories to spice up your wardrobe. For truly unique pieces, try a secondhand clothing store. We have a few on campus and they always have interesting pieces that no one else will have. I have also been finding myself shopping on eBay for cheap and unique accessories lately.

Second, shop inexpensive stores that cater to your aesthetic. Forever 21 and H&M are examples of stores with a really great feminine rocker edge. They have really stellar deals and carry lots of things like faux leather jackets and feminine blouses.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls also have some great deals on shoes and bags for that edgy style. One day I sat in the bags section at Marshalls for a good hour to find the perfect “tough girl” bag. They also definitely have enough high heels to satisfy your high heel love! Payless is also great for cheap, trendy shoes.

Looking for feminine pieces in bright colors:

Here is a little bit of fun for those of you (like myself) who like to stand out with color. Upon request, here are some pieces that will make a feminine outfit pop! (When worn separately – not all in one outfit!)

Bright colors

Product Information: Skirt- Old Navy, Hat and Flats- Topshop, Bangle- frenchconnection.com, Dress- Buckle.

Solution for a preppy and girly style:

This outfit is inspired by Marissa Cooper from the OC (my favorite show!). She always rocked the polo and vintage skirt combo when walking through the halls of Harbor, (in season 2? if you were wondering). It’s the perfect mix of preppy and girly!

Preppy and girly clothes & accessories

Product information: Polo- Abercrombie and Fitch, Skirt- Old Navy, Flats- Charlotte Russe, Bag- Aldo, Bracelet- fantasyjewlerybox.com

For the tomboy who wants to be more girly:

Comfort is a big thing in college, and jeans, t-shirts and hoodies are staples. Try mixing these with feminine pieces. You dont have to go crazy, maybe some cute flats or pearl earrings. Try something like a floral top underneath a zip up hoodie.

What do you think?

Next week I will be moving on to the edgy rocker style, so if there is anything last minute you want me to throw in there Gucci Sito Ufficiale, let me know!

Also, I’m curious: how do you add feminine pieces to your style? How do you make a tomboy outfit more girly? What is your favorite way to add color to a girly outfit? Leave a comment and tell me!

Getting There in Style: How to Pick Out Your Perfect Suitcase

Suitcases

Throughout our series on Getting There in Style, I’ve discussed your perfect travel outfit, packing your suitcase, and the carry-on bag essentials no girl should fly without. This week, I want to focus on your most important travel accessory: your suitcase.

When you travel, your suitcase is like your mobile home-away-from-home. It’s the keeper of everything you’ll need until your return. A good suitcase is truly a piece every girl should own when she goes to college.

However, figuring out which suitcase is right for you can be tricky, especially with all the options out there today. In order to ease the process, I’ve put together a few tips for choosing a suitcase Coach Outlet Online, as well as a few different styles of bags, to help.

3 Tips for Choosing a Suitcase 1. Figure out what type of traveler you are.

Usually coach outlet store online shoes, the experts will tell you to consider your destination or the length of your vacation to pinpoint your perfect suitcase. However, as a college girl on a budget, you also want to make sure you’ll be able to get multiple uses out of your purchase.

So look at your last several vacations. Where did you go? How long was your trip? What was your favorite destination? Where would you like to go in the future? How much do you typically pack? Use your answers as benchmarks for choosing your ideal suitcase.

2. Do your research.

Once you’ve nailed down your travel needs, do as much research as possible before making your purchase.

Go online and compare different makes, models, brands and styles. Create a list of your favorites and hit up local retailers to see the bags in person. You want to make sure you can physically handle the bag and that it lives up to the information you found on the Internet. You can make your final purchase online, but you should always see the bag in person first if you can.

3. Be willing to invest.

Luggage is an investment. You want to get as many years and vacations out of a suitcase as possible, and you want a bag that is going to hold up through it all.

Of course, good luggage isn’t cheap, and, while a budget is always good, quality is always worth a little extra. Compare prices from store to store and brand to brand, but remember that quality should always come first.

CF Fabulous Finds: Winter Break Essentials

Winter Break Essentials

For most of us, those pesky finals are finally ending (or are already done!) and now we’re on to the next challenge: how to pack for going home. Personally, picking out what to bring home is always a bit of a trial for me, as it’s nearly impossible to know what you will be doing over the course of the next month. And, let’s face it–we all want to look our best when we return to the world of high school gossip and ex-boyfriends louis vuitton outlet online!

To help you guys out on what to pack when heading home (or potential smart purchases for when you’re home and have holiday money burning a hole in your wallet), here is a list of some products that will ensure you’re the most stylish girl at all of those holiday parties at home.

Best Winter Skin Saver

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Product Information: Sephora.com

A perfect outfit, hair Coach Outlet Online, and makeup pretty much mean nothing if they are concealing dry, flaky skin. I am a huge advocate of moisturizer year-round, but it is an absolute MUST in the winter.

I happen to have particularly dry skin that gets red and irritated every time the temperature drops, so I have been searching for years to find the perfect moisturizer that would keep my skin soft and pretty during the winter without being too thick or unpleasantly scented.

That’s why I was thrilled to discover First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream online at Sephora this fall. While I was reluctant to splurge for the $28 moisturizer, I heard so many positive reviews that I couldn’t resist, and from the first second I tried it, I was hooked. The tiniest bit of this cream goes a long way in making my skin look and feel the best it ever has in the winter, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone else who has thus far been dissatisfied with drug store purchases.

Though I understand the hesitation due to the price tag, I can safely say that though I moisturize my entire body at least once a day, there is still enough moisturizer in there to last me for months, making it a worthwhile purchase in comparison to buying a new Coach Outlet, runny moisturizer of a lower quality every month.

Best Winter Accessory

Infinity Scarf

Product Information: Nordstrom.com

While I understand that this may be a bit redundant considering the hype surrounding these scarves all over the fashion blogosphere, I just had to get my word in about my so-far favorite winter accessory, the infinity (also called “circle”) scarf.

Up until last year, I had never really worn scarves, as I simply did not like the way they looked on me (for some reason they always managed to make my outfit look “off”). However, walking to class in the windy winters of New York City sort of forced me to suck up my vanity and throw one on in order to not freeze.

My apathy towards scarves certainly made me skeptical when I saw everyone from fashion blogs to magazines to America’s favorite stylish celebs promoting these oversized loop scarves. However coach handbags, I decided to try one on in Urban Outfitters the other day and ended up truly amazed.

For some reason, these things are super flattering and give you the perfect just-thrown-on-but-put-together look when you add them to any outfit. And most importantly, they are super warm! I seriously do not know what I would have done without my scarf when New York decided to throw some extra-cold weather at me during finals week!

As with any scarf, the best part about these are the variety of colors, fabrics, and patterns you can purchase them in. I love the simplicity of the scarf above since it will surely go with any coat, but you can definitely find more scarves pretty much anywhere you shop this winter, including department stores such as Nordstrom and chain stores such as Urban Outfitters.

Best Holiday Beauty Look

Red Lips

As we say goodbye to 2009, why not pay homage to one of its defining beauty trends: the strong lip color. From the fierce black lips gracing the runways to the neon colors we loved last spring, bold lips were back and better than ever this year.

Winter break tends to include at least one or two holiday parties, and I think there is no better way to take an outfit from “every day” to “holiday” than to jazz it up with a classic red pout. If you find the right shade, red lipsticks flatter almost anyone if they are applied correctly and worn as the center of attention of your look.

As a paler girl with blonde hair, I have found my favorite two red lipsticks to be Estee Lauder’s Neiman Marcus Red (splurge) and Revlon’s Fire & Ice (save). These bright reds are not for the faint of heart and definitely make a major statement, which I think is perfect for a fun holiday party.

Of course, not all CF readers will look good in the lipsticks I chose. Therefore, I suggest going to either a makeup counter at a department store or to the makeup artists at beauty stores like Sephora and asking them to help you find your perfect shade of red. After they help you choose a shade, you can decide whether you want to splurge on the lipstick or use your new-found knowledge to pick out a cheaper red from a drugstore. Either way, I do suggest the above brands, as I can attest to their smooth application and long-lasting color.

Best Cheap Holiday Gift

Philosophy Recipe Box

Product Information: Sephora.com

Though Meggy posted a wonderful Holiday Gift Guide on CF, if you’re like me coach outlet store online shoes, finals have taken precedence over shopping for presents and you may now be finding yourself in the midst of the holidays without all of the gifts for friends and family you need!

One of the toughest things about buying gifts last-minute is if you have a set price-limit to conform to or need to buy a gift for someone you do not know much about (this is common if you have a Secret Santa or other type of gift exchange). You want to do more than just get a plain gift card but are not sure how to find a personalized, creative gift with limited funds.

That’s why I was ecstatic to find the adorable Recipe Box from Philosophy. This set contains two of the brand’s deliciously scented 3-in-1 bubble bath, hair, and body washes in Red Velvet Cake and Sweet Creamy Frosting (yum!), as well as some actual recipe cards with great holiday recipes on them!

The best part is that this set only costs $12 at Sephora, which is a great bargain that is perfect for a Secret Santa (or nondenominational “Secret Snowflake”) type gift exchange. It is infinitely more fun and creative than any other cheap holiday gift set I have seen thus far!
